Delivering Opportunity Through Land Assembly and Infrastructure Delivery
The 78-acre site at Dennyloanhead, Falkirk was allocated for 568 homes and local retail in the adopted Falkirk Local Plan (2010), intended to support community regeneration and help meet housing needs. However, the allocated land was fragmented, with multiple ownerships creating a significant barrier to delivery.
Mac Mic identified the opportunity and secured agreements with five separate landowners to assemble the allocated site. An addition, a further agreement was required with a remote landowner to secure land necessary to deliver essential off-site motorway junction upgrades to the M80 Motorway. The negotiation process was complex and sensitive, but with persistence and constructive engagement, all landowners were brought into alignment, allowing the site to move forward.
